  • The Incredible Journey of ‘Clet’ the lone bottlenose dolphin

    A solitary bottlenose dolphin, with a distinctive fin first caught the UK media’s attention when he ventured into our Cornish waters in 2014 and has since explored our coasts from as far south and east as Portland, in Dorset, up to the Scottish Highlands.

  • Rare hermit crab rediscovered

    A rare and brightly colourful hermit crab was discovered by volunteers on a Cornwall Wildlife Trust ‘Shoresearch’ survey at a Castle beach, Falmouth on Saturday 12th March. The tiny hermit crab measuring only six millimetres in length hasn’t been recorded in Cornish waters since 1985!

  • Cornwall's Bright Young Future

    Young people in Cornwall will soon have the opportunity to step up and create what is rightfully theirs: a healthy planet, a thriving economy and a brighter future, thanks to £1 million of funding from the Big Lottery Fund for Cornwall Wildlife Trust’s Your Shore Beach Ranger Project. And the work starts now, as the charity is calling for young people to get involved and design their project logo.

  • Help needed to save our Cornish bees

    Our Cornish bees are disappearing, with some species on the verge of extinction, but Cornwall Wildlife Trust is determined to stop this from happening and has launched the Bee Kind Appeal to raise funds to create natural habitats and educate people on how they can help. To carry out this vital work and halt the decline of our bees the Trust must raise £18,000.
