Join Our Team as the Shoresearch Cornwall Volunteer Coordinator!
Are you passionate about marine conservation and engaging with communities? Cornwall Wildlife Trust is seeking a dedicated voluntary coordinator to support our Shoresearch Cornwall project—a vital citizen science initiative aimed at protecting Cornwall’s rich marine and coastal ecosystems.
About the Role: This part-time, volunteer position (1-3 days per week, including weekends) involves leading shoresearch surveys, training and inspiring volunteers, organising rockpooling events, and delivering community talks. You’ll help maintain volunteer enthusiasm, ensure accurate data collection, and promote findings via social media and newsletters. Your work will support local and national conservation efforts and involve outreach with partners to raise project awareness.
What We’re Looking For:
- Good knowledge of UK and Cornwall's intertidal / rocky shore marine life
- Experience engaging with volunteers and the public
- Excellent communication and independent working skills
- A clean driving license and IT proficiency
