About the event

Back for its second year, the 2024 Cornish Wildlife Photography Exhibition is a celebration of Cornwall’s wildlife and natural beauty with the display of winning and finalist images from Cornwall Wildlife Trust's 2024 Wildlife Photography Competition.

The competition featured five categories: Feathered Friends, Ocean Wonders, Micro Marvels, Terrestrial Treasures, and Nature's Comedy. There was also a ‘Young Photographer’ category for those under 18 years of age.

Hundreds of people of all ages took part in the competition, so the top local wildlife and photography experts who made up the judging panel had a difficult time shortlisting the photographs for the final round of the competition.

The exhibition, held at Truro Cathedral from Friday 18th October to Wednesday 13th November, provides an opportunity to view the diversity of Cornwall's wildlife through 30 stunning photographs, learn interesting species and habitat facts, as well as provide you with the chance to vote for your favourite image via the 'People's Choice Award' - voting coming soon!

Winners of the competition will be publicly announced on Friday 18th October. To find out more about the competition click here.

Thank you to our sponsors South West OpticsWildanet, Sunhouse Creative, StormshoreClassic Cottages, and Seasalt for making this year’s competition possible. Thanks to our judging panel Laura Snell, Adrian Langdon, Karin Aldridge and Claire Ireland, and thank you to Truro Cathedral for holding our exhibition.

We hope you enjoy our 2024 Cornish Wildlife Photography Exhibition!
