About the event

Join Bude Marine Group in association with Cornwall Wildlife Trust for their Annual General Meeting. Everyone is welcome to come and find out how to get involved with discovering and recording local marine life.

The meeting will be followed by a fantastic talk from legendary local wildlife photographer and coastal explorer, Rupert Kirkwood - The Lone Kayaker!

Rupert will be telling stories and showing of his extraordinary wildlife encounters around the coast of Cornwall. Not to be missed!

Where? The Ivor Potter Hall at the Parkhouse Centre, Bude

When? The AGM starts at 7pm with the talk starting at 7:30pm

Who? Everyone is welcome

How much? This event is FREE to attend but we recommend booking in advance so not to be disappointed.

Rupert ventures out on his kayak several days a week throughout the year, whether it is slithering silently up a creek on a cold winter morning looking for an otter, or far out to sea on a blazing August day hoping for an encounter with dolphins or even a whale.

He enjoys it so much he has clocked up nearly 35,000 miles during the last 20 years, including every inch of the coast of SW England. His talk features encounters with just about every sensational sea creature of Devon and Cornwall including seals, puffins, minke and humpback whales and magnificent bluefin tuna, with all pics and videos taken from the unobtrusiveness of his kayak.

We hope to see you there!

Tea and coffee will be provided. No need to book, just turn up.

The committee look forward to seeing you there.
