Time: 11am – 1pm

The survey includes settling into a sea-watching session, scanning the water for wildlife sightings. There’s time for breaks, and attendees are encouraged to bring a hot drink in a flask, snacks, and binoculars if available. Please wear or bring warm, waterproof clothing, and sturdy footwear, as the event takes place on exposed cliffs, where weather conditions can be unpredictable. Safety is a top priority, so be prepared for uneven terrain and cold winds. Everyone is welcome, making it a perfect activity for families, individuals, and nature lovers alike.

Public transport: To reach Perranuthnoe from Penzance, take the 39A bus operated by Go Cornwall Bus, which departs from Penzance Bus Station and stops at Perran Crossroads and St Pirans Way, about a 10 minute walk to the survey point. The journey takes around 18 minutes, and tickets can be purchased from the driver, with contactless payment available. The service runs regularly throughout the day, and buses are accessible for passengers with mobility needs. For the latest timetable or updates, check the Go Cornwall Bus website or use a public transport app.
