The 2024 general election is the most important election of our lifetimes in terms of the nature and climate emergencies. With local, national and international targets focused on restoring nature by 2030, the new Labour government will be in power for most of that time. This is the moment to show how much we care about the environment.
In order to raise the profile of environmental issues with parliamentary candidates, showing how much so many people in Cornwall care about nature and the climate crisis, Cornwall Wildlife Trust held hustings across Cornwall, inviting candidates from all major parties to speak directly with votes.
Parliamentary candidates addressed nature and climate issues at these events - and our supporters had the chance to put questions to them.
