For just one day, the Wilder Festival is from 12.00noon to 8.00pm on Bank Holiday Sunday May 26^th and everyone can join in this naturally wild day and celebrate our wildlife and wild places with Cornwall Wildlife Trust,

There will be wildlife workshops throughout the day, wildlife advice, foraging, forest school, live music, street food, birds of prey from Feadon Farm Wildlife Centre, bird-ringing demonstrations with the Cornwall BTO, wild art, forest schools, wildlife camera kits, and photography activities and even welly-wanging!   

Carolyn Cadman, Cornwall Wildlife Trust’s chief executive says: “We created this festival to celebrate our wildlife, and remind ourselves how important it is. Having a thriving natural environment helps us to be more active, feel less stressed and improves our all-around health.”

She continues: “I’ll be bringing my young family and hope to explore the coastal Eco-Park as well as trying out some of the wildlife workshops we’re running”. 

A highlight will be the fun children’s wildlife parade at 3.00pm when we are asking all our young visitors to get creative and dress up as any woodland animal or plant, bug or marine creature and parade with us around this wonderful site in their best wildlife-themed outfit. Face painting and some outfits are available.

Join us for the day and meet local wildlife celebrities Sophie Pavelle, wildlife presenter and Youth Ambassador for The Wildlife Trusts who will be showing people how to create media-friendly Instagram stories in the wild, and award-winning film-maker Ian McCarthy, who will be signing his new book.

Sophie Pavelle, who will also be judging the children’s parade says: “A great way to spend the first Sunday of half-term, with a picnic rug, (or umbrella!), friends and family, out in nature – come and say hi”.
