There will be wildlife workshops throughout the day, wildlife advice, foraging, live music, street food, birds of prey and rescued Cornish wildlife from Feadon Farm Wildlife Centre, bird-ringing demonstrations with the Cornwall BTO, wild art, forest schools, wildlife camera and photography activities and even a bit of Cornish scything made famous by Poldark, which was filmed on this coastline.
A highlight will be the fun children’s wildlife parade at 3.00pm when young visitors will be parading around this wonderful site in wildlife-themed outfits. Dogs are welcome on leads, and they can even join in a mini dog show!
Among the local wildlife celebrities attending will be Sophie Pavelle, wildlife presenter and Youth Ambassador for The Wildlife Trusts. She will be showing people how to create media-friendly Instagram stories in the wild as well as judging the children’s parade. Ian McCarthy award-winning filmmaker will also be at the festival, signing his new book.
