Based around our Helman Tor reserve, we meet every Wednesday at 9:30am, carrying out a wide variety of practical tasks to maintain and enhance this fantastic nature reserve.

Work includes fencing, coppicing, late-summer meadow cutting, path clearance and access work, scrub clearance and more. Due to the sites nature, access can be challenging, but we can discuss individual ability and suitability if you are not sure.

No experience is necessary, and all task and tool training is given on the day as needed.

Much of the support of this volunteer groups is thanks to funding from Biffa Award and the Government's Species Survival Fund (delivered by The National Lottery Heritage Fund), both of which are supporting large nature recovery projects at Helman Tor.
