About the event

As part of the ongoing community work in St Austell Bay, Cornwall Wildlife Trust are running a special event during National Marine Week 2024 - Carlyon Marine Day

Join in on a host of FREE marine activities for all the family and learn about our amazing seas.

We'll be at Carlyon Beach with Three Bays Wildlife with an interactive stand full of fascinating curiosities and marine arts & crafts.

There is also a host of activities to get involved with for all the family, most of which you can simply turn up to and join in. However, the snorkel session requires booking in advance.

12:30pm-1:30pm: Silent Disco Beach Clean

Get on your dancing shoes and join us to keep your local beach clean and tidy.

1pm-2:30pm: Sand Sculpture Competition

Show us your creativity by taking part in this fun competition, creating works of art from things you find on the beach.

3pm-4pm: Snorkel Safari (booking required**)

Explore the underwater world and discover the incredible marine life in Cornish seas.

All activities are FREE to take part in, however you can make an optional donation when booking onto the snorkel*.

We look forward to seeing you there!

*Put £0 in the amount if you do not wish to make a donation

**Participants over 9 years of age only, under 16s must be accompanied by an adult at all times including in the water.
