About the event

Have you ever fancied tackling 26.2 miles of the streets of London, taking in the wonderful sights and delights of our capital city, while fundraising for a great cause? 

Cornwall Wildlife Trust has a charity space available for 2025 that has your name on it!

You will receiving full fundraising assistance from start to finish, so when you are pounding the pavements of Central London in April 2025, you can soak up that infectiously enthusiastic atmosphere of the world's biggest fundraising event, whilst knowing that you are creating a Cornwall where nature thrives!

What's in it for me? 

The lucky participant will receive the following support from the fundraising team here at Cornwall Wildlife Trust: 

  • A free "goodie bag", containing a branded cotton Cornwall Wildlife Trust shirt and merchandise*, as well as important information to get you started 
  • Tailored fundraising advise and check-ins from the Community Fundraising and Support Officer 
  • Regular updates on the impact of your hard work on Cornwall's precious wildlife 
  • Run with over 50,000 like-minded marathon runners on the day itself  

How do I apply? 

If you would like to be in with the chance of participating in the London Marathon for Cornwall Wildlife Trust, please fill in the form below. We will be in touch within 5 working days to review your application. Please note, applications are responded to on a first come, first served basis so make sure that you apply fast!

Please note that we will have no registration fee for 2025's London Marathon event. 

Do I have to have participated in a Marathon before? 

No! We welcome applicants from all sorts of backgrounds and running abilities. If you have any queries or concerns, message Sam (Community Fundraising and Support Officer): Sam.Lucock@cornwallwildlifetrust.org.uk  

I have a ballot space - can I partake? 

If you were lucky enough to receive a ballot space for the 2025 London Marathon, then you are still welcome to fundraise for Cornwall Wildlife Trust! Ballot space runners: 

  • Will receive the same benefits as the charity place runners 
  • Have no minimum fundraising target, but are encouraged to raise as much money as possible to help us create a Cornwall where nature can thrive 
  • Will not need to pay an entrance fee, as you will have already paid for your ballot space. 

How about the London Marathon My Way ("Virtual Marathon")? 

Would you still like to participate on 27 April and fundraise for us, but are perhaps unable to make it to London or need the Marathon to be adjusted for a Disability? We can still help you with the London Marathon My Way avenue for the event. Please get in touch and we will gladly assist you.

*please note, we are unable to provide branded "technical" shirts for this event.

Minimum sponsorship - £2,200.00
There is no registration fee.

Ballot place runners are not obligated to fundraise a minimum amount; however, they are encouraged to fundraise as much as possible for this event to help us create a Cornwall where nature can thrive.
