Open Gardens

Discover wildlife-friendly gardening and support Cornwall Wildlife Trust at locations across Cornwall

The 2024 volunteer-led Open Gardens season has now come to an end – and what a year it has been! This year, from April 7 to September 22, we welcomed thousands of visitors to ten private gardens across Cornwall. Countless delicious home-baked cakes were served with hot drinks, supporters took home beautiful home-grown plants, and wildlife gardening inspiration was enjoyed by all.

Two new places opened their gates for us this year. Suffree Farm, near Probus, allowed guests to meet Shetland ponies among other delights. The opening of Trelan, the final garden in the series, meant that tropical vibes were enjoyed by all, without the requirement to leave Lelant!

While the Cornish weather did not exactly deliver a scorcher this summer, this did not stop us from achieving a bumper year, with Â£27,007 being raised for wildlife in Cornwall, thanks to the efforts of our volunteers.

We are extremely grateful to everyone who helped us to achieve this, and we are looking forward to welcoming you all back for the 2025 Open Garden Season. Check back here for dates soon!
